Whale Carrier is a brand of roof boxes and vehicle travel equipment under PT Sole Indotrade, established in 2011. We make roof boxes, roof bars, camping bags and the supporting spare parts that make a journey more practical, safer and more comfortable.
Whale Carrier started with our founder’s own habit of exploring Indonesia. Limited storage meant equipment ended up filling the cabin and crowding the passengers. That real need produced the answer: extra storage that is strong, genuinely useful, and still in keeping with how the vehicle looks.
What the name means
Whale is drawn from an animal that is strong, calm, and capable of crossing oceans. Carrier simply means the one that carries.
Together they describe what we want to be: a dependable travelling companion, carrying what you need towards more places worth reaching.
Our commitment
Whale Carrier roof boxes use quality ABS, chosen to cope with a wide range of weather and with years of use. A three-point locking system helps keep your belongings secure along the way.
We also supply spare parts, product advice, and support from an experienced team, so customers can match the equipment to their vehicle and to the journeys they actually make.
Our journey so far
- 2011 — Founded under PT Sole Indotrade. Whale Carrier began serving Indonesia’s automotive travel equipment needs.
- 2018 — More variants, more service. A broader range of roof boxes, roof bars, camping bags and supporting spare parts.
- 2026 — Digital service and workshops. Buying and getting advice became easier, whether in person at a workshop or shipped anywhere in Indonesia.
